As a finalist of the Young Women of Distinction award, you will have the exclusive benefit to attend the Leadership in Age of Intensity program. This program is designed to further develop the leadership and personal development of young women in their transition from high school to college. The course is created and delivered by Amy Castronova, President and CEO of Novatek Communications, Inc. A young leader herself, Amy ambitiously purchased Novatek at the ripe age of 20. She faced challenge and overcame many obstacles including running a business while a student in college, managing employees twice her age, becoming an unexpected caretaker, and experiencing the death of both her parents. Most importantly, these events taught Amy valuable leadership and life lessons.

Today, at 27 years old, Amy is running a successful business with 35 employees. She has been awarded as a Rochester Up and Coming Business Woman in her early years, the Rising Star, an honor given only once, by the Women Presidents Organization, and the Young Entrepreneur Champion of the Year, by the U.S. Small Business Administration winning at three different levels of competition.
