2008 Nomination Form
Women’s Council believes that the young women with promise today will become tomorrow’s leaders.
Since 2000, Women’s Council has awarded this honor, modeled after the prestigious ATHENA Award, to young women in their junior or senior year of high school who have demonstrated superior academic performance, community service, and leadership.
Over 250 nominees for the Young Women of Distinction Award have been recognized. The top three recipients of the award receive scholarships and a paid internship at PaeTec Communications, thanks to the generosity of Chief Executive Officer, Arunas Chesonis.
This award is designed to discover these young leaders, showcase their achievements to the community, and provide opportunities to encourage them to fulfill their highest potential. The award aspires to nurture the next generation of female leaders, enabling companies and organizations within our community to grow and prosper. As Women’s Council extends its reach to these young women through ongoing mentor relationships, the Council encourages them to return to our community after college and make a difference in the business sector. |
