Welcome to the Women’s Council, an affiliate of the Rochester Business Alliance, a great way for women in business, education and many other sectors of our regional economy to get connected to the greater community and to network for professional growth and success.

RECOGNIZING AND EMPOWERING SUCCESS

The Women’s Council, a Rochester Business Alliance affiliate and its sole women’s professional organization, is committed to recognizing and empowering success in professional women in the Greater Rochester community.

We currently have more than 200 members taking advantage of the diverse and unique member benefits that we offer. While many of these benefits are tailored to the individual member, the primary universal benefits include professional and personal growth. This is achieved through participation in our Building Your Briefcase program series, as well as our networking and civic events.

Each year, the Women’s Council sponsors the internationally recognized ATHENA Award® to honor highly successful and distinguished professional women who are models of leadership, civic responsibility and who mentor other women in the community.  In 2015, the Women’s Council is also introducing the ATHENA Young Professional Award® to recognize rising professional women between 30-45 years of age who exhibit similar traits. Recipients of these awards exemplify the highest standards of professionalism, personal character, and commitment to improving the communities in which we live and work.

In addition, young women in their senior year of high school who demonstrate high scholastic achievement, leadership, and who actively contribute to the community, are eligible to receive the Women’s Council’s Young Women of Distinction Award, which provides academic scholarships, professional internships, and encouragement for future success right here in the Greater Rochester area.

We invite you to join the Women’s Council and begin experiencing all that we have to offer!

Regards,
Women’s Council Board of Directors
